In the morning we had District Council Meeting. It was decided that this coming Monday would be District P Day which happens once a transfer, which means the elders from Atherton and Innisfail also join and this time also the senior couples.
We went to buy lights for the elder's bikes as the others had been stolen.

We received word from the Grangers, who were in charge of vehicles and housing and have been home from their mission for about two months, that they will be visiting Cairns next Monday. They will come and have dinner with us that evening.

We started the day with a delicious breakfast at the Kimiia's.
Later in the day, dropped food off to a member who was not well.

Saturday, 10th June
This morning the elders on bikes called to say that their two bikes which they have been locking up every night with what we thought was a more secure lock had been stolen. That has been now a total of six bikes that have been stolen in the last four months and one retrieved.
When the bikes are replaced, they will from then on need to carry them up three flights of stairs and keep them in their flats.
In the evening, we attended a cottage evening at the Parker's home. It was well attended and Sister Shell who experienced the lockdown in Victoria, spoke about how her food storage got her through some challenging times. We were then encouraged to focus on building up our food storage.
Sunday, 11th June
Picked up Yoriko from the airport.
We then headed up to Atherton to attend Church meetings up there and got to meet the Talbots (new senior couple) in person. There were 41 people in attendance which is almost double what it is normally. The meeting was followed by an enjoyable lunch.
On the way home we dropped into see David and Natalie . Leila was playing golf.
